THE Vale of York Moors and Coast Group of Farm Stay UK hosted Shake up Your Wake Up! at The Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School on Tuesday 24th January in celebration of Farmhouse Breakfast Week 2012.

Resident Chef Ali Bilton gave a cookery demonstration on healthy, innovative and tasty breakfast ideas.  These included a healthy breakfast cereal bar, kedgeree, bircher muesli, courgette muffins and smoothies.

Accompanying Ali was Personal Trainer and Food Coach, Anita Norman who gave nutritional advice on the ingredients and dishes demonstrated.  She also demonstrated a number of exercises that can be done to invigorate the body in the morning without the need for a track suit and trainers!

Proceeds of the event went towards the East Yorkshire Arthritis Research Campaign.
