Helping reduce rural crime

Zedlock has designed and produced an innovative solution to the increasing problem of rural crime; the Zedlock gate lock. The ongoing problem of diesel, machinery and even animal theft means that farmers and landowners need to increase their security at the farm gate.

Helping reduce rural crime

Zedlock is a unique lock product designed for farm and estate gates, which provides superior security and ease of use compared to traditional devices such as a padlock & chain, and at comparable cost.

Designed by Bruce Robertson, the inventor has produced a product that cannot be ‘cropped’ by bolt cutters, the most common method of forced entry. Particular attention was paid to the stainless steel sliding bolt, which cannot be cut by a gas torch.

Zedlock comprises a sliding bolt and deadlock, and because the bolt has a long ‘throw’, this makes it suitable for field gates where the gap between the gate and gatepost is up to 50mm/2”. The lock mechanism is a high quality Union 5-lever deadlock. The locks can be offered keyed-alike, and retrospectively keyed-alike when you add more Zedlocks, so one key can operate all of your farm and estate gates.

Three versions of Zedlocks, to suit wooden and metal gates, are now available priced at £65+VAT. For further information visit www.zedlock.com
