Engine investment set to create jobs

JCB – the world’s third largest manufacturer of construction equipment – has announced plans for a new £31 million engine development project in the UK that will create around 350 jobs across its Midlands and Wales’ plants.

BUYERS from as far away as Switzerland and Ireland attended the latest bi-monthly plant and agricultural machinery collective sale at Shrewsbury Auction Centre.
Auctioneers Halls reported a good clearance rate despite the attendance being slightly down due to some farmers making the most of the fine October weather.
JCB exhibition set to generate new export business

THE doors have opened on a multi-million pound customer attraction at JCB designed to generate new business from all over the world.
A unique and permanent exhibition called ‘The Story of JCB’ has been developed at JCB’s World HQ at Rocester charting the company’s links to industry back to the 1820s.
Hot weather attracts crowds to collective auction

UNSEASONABLE hot weather brought a large crowd to Halls’ September collective machinery auction at The Gallops, Stanklyn Lane, Stone, near Kidderminster.
Top price of the day went to a Massey Ferguson 8220 4wd tractor with front air suspension, which sold for an impressive £17,500. Other notable prices in the tractor section were £4150 for a Kubota five-tonne digger, £2200 for a Manitou forklift and £1900 for an International 674 tractor with loader.
Stone collective auction attracts large crowd

ANOTHER successful monthly collective auction held by Halls at The Gallops, Stanklyn Lane, Stone, near Kidderminster attracted a large crowd and a wide range of entries.

LIVE Internet bidding proved a success as auctioneers Halls recorded one of their best plant and agricultural machinery collective auctions in Shrewsbury.
Twenty-two bidders from as far away as Poland and Ireland registered to bid online at the bi-monthly auction at Shrewsbury Auction Centre on 4 February, with two securing the lots they were after.
